What's included with my shepherd's hut?

Our shepherd's huts are all very well equipped and include the following: En suite shower & loo, mains electricity, well equipped kitchen area (with gas hobs & oven), small fridge, electric heater, wood burning stove, fire pit and tripod BBQ, wood fired hot tub and all bedding & towels. We aim to provide everything we think you'll need for your self catering stay.

Will my hut have a hot tub?

Yes! Each hut now has it's own wood fired hot tub

When I search availability for the shepherd's huts I can only see prices and availability for the B&B. Why?

The huts fill pretty quickly yet the main overview diary on our booking system shows dates that are available in either the B&B or the huts. If you click on the "check availability for specific rooms" option you can filter availability to show a month by month overview of the specific huts or rooms that you're interested in.

Can we bring our dog?

You spoke and we listened! By popular demand we’ve now opened up one of our lovely huts (Demoiselle) to your four legged friends.

 

Book your doggy stay in 3 easy steps:

 

1. Visit westfieldhousefarm.com and click on “book now”

2. Book an available date in Demoiselle (our blue hut – also listed as “hut - family - en suite with shower” on the booking system)

3. Add a dog to your booking from the optional extras section on the check out page

 

Do you charge extra for dogs?

There is a fixed £20 supplement payable (this is regardless of the number of nights or dogs)

 

How many dogs do you allow?

We allow a max of 2 dogs

 

Which hut is dog friendly?

Demoiselle (our blue hut listed as “Hut – Family – Ensuite with Shower” on the booking system) is our dog friendly hut. We’re currently unable to take dogs in Leveret, Eyebright or Curlew.

 

Are there any other doggy rules?

All we ask is that dogs are kept on a lead in the hut field, that they’re not allowed on the beds and that they are responsibly cleaned up after

Are all the shepherd's huts the same size?

The huts have the same external dimensions and footprint but the layouts are slightly different. Leveret and Curlew have one double bed that faces out into the hut from the end wall. They both accommodate 2 adults. Eyebright and Demoiselle have two double beds in a bunk format. They can both accommodate two adults and two children.

Do the shepherd's huts have wifi?

We don't have wi-fi in the huts

Can I drive up to my hut?

We have a car park next to the hut meadow and we ask guests to park here. The huts are between 30m and 90m walk (depending on your hut)  from the car park.

Can you recommend somewhere to eat?

Do you provide fuel for the stove, hot tub and campfire?

We include a carry bag of compacted logs and a basked of firewood with your booking. If you require any more fuel, each hut has an honesty box where you can buy some more.
